Rude Food Dude ("RFD") is a product of Resurgence Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use RFD.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use RFD, we may collect account information such as your name, phone number and email address; delivery information such as addresses and location used to verify a delivery destination; restaurant, menu, cart and order information; food preferences and favorites you choose to save; customer-support communications; and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
Payment information is processed by our payment provider. RFD does not receive or store your full payment card number.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, operate the conversational ordering experience, build and manage orders, coordinate restaurants and delivery, process payments, provide order tracking and support, improve RFD, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers and order fulfillment
We may provide information to service providers and businesses that need it to perform the service you requested, such as payment processors, messaging providers, hosting and AI service providers, restaurants, and delivery or courier providers. We limit this sharing to what is reasonably needed to provide, secure, or support RFD.
SMS and mobile information
RFD may send a one-time SMS authentication code when you specifically request one on the login screen. Requesting a login code does not enroll you in recurring text messages.
If you separately and affirmatively opt in to recurring RFD order and delivery text updates, messages may include order confirmation, restaurant status, food readiness, courier assignment, pickup, delivery, and order problems. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or text-messaging opt-in or consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not a condition of purchase.
Marketing
Transactional order messages and marketing messages are treated separately. We will not use an opt-in to order-status texts as permission to send promotional marketing texts. Any future marketing SMS program will require the appropriate separate consent.
Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate RFD, maintain transaction and consent records, resolve disputes, meet legal or accounting requirements, and protect the service. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
You may choose not to enroll in recurring SMS updates and may still complete an order and use website-based order tracking. If you have enrolled in recurring SMS updates, reply STOP to opt out. You may contact us to ask questions about your account or privacy choices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as RFD develops. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are posted.
